When I was a kid, manga ruled the world. I wasn’t alone in this belief; all of my friends were ardent fans of the comic book-style stories. Over time, however, manga lost its appeal for me. I stopped reading it because I found it boring and not particularly well written. Fast forward a few years, and now I think manga is actually pretty good (granted, this is my opinion). So what happened? How did someone who once hated manga end up enjoying it so much? The answer lies in my reading journey—along with the help of MyReadingManga. Check out the following blog post to find out more.
My Background
Hello, my name is Taylor and I’m a manga enthusiast. Over the past few years, I’ve slowly transitioned from a hater to a lover of manga. What started as an appreciation for manga aesthetics and storytelling has evolved into an admiration for the art form and its potential to inspire and entertain.
In early 2016, I made the decision to read more manga than ever before in order to broaden my horizons and experience as many different types of manga as possible. The first series that I decided to give a shot was Attack on Titan, which I had previously dismissed as “generic shonen anime.” After spending just two weeks reading the entire series, I was hooked. From then on, I was determined to read every series that caught my interest.
The journey towards becoming a fan of manga wasn’t easy though. There were plenty of bumps in the road including episodes of frustration and disappointment (especially during the early stages of my journey). But through it all, I persisted because reading manga is what made me happy. And now? Now, MyReadingManga is one of my favorite things to do!
My Thoughts On Manga
Manga is one of my favorite forms of literature. I used to be a hater, but now I’m a lover. Here’s why:
1) Manga is very versatile. You can read it for entertainment, for learning new things, or for its artistic value.
2) Manga is quick and easy to read. You can finish a chapter in minutes, which makes it great for on-the-go reading.
3) Manga is often full of suspense and action. It’s fun to read about characters who are trying to outwit each other or save the world from danger.
4) MyReadingManga is often inspiring. It can help you learn new skills or see yourself in different situations that you might not normally experience in life.
My Reading Manga Journey
I’ve been reading manga for just over two years now, and during that time, I’ve gone from hating them to enjoying them. It all started with a simple recommendation from a friend, and I’m so glad that he did because now I can’t imagine not reading manga.
Initially, I was really turned off by manga because of the stereotypes that I had seen portrayed in movies and TV shows. The characters always seemed shallow and melodramatic, and the stories always seemed too cheesy or unrealistic to be enjoyable. But then I read Attack on Titan, and everything changed.
Attack on Titan is one of the most gripping stories that I have ever read. The action is intense and the characters are well-developed, making it easy to become invested in their fate. And even though the ending left me feeling a bit disappointed, it’s still one of my favorite manga series ever.
Due to Attack on Titan’s positive influence, I decided to give other manga a chance. And boy am I glad that I did! From Kimi no Na Wa to Watashi no Koibito!, there is something for everyone in this genre. Whether you’re looking for an exciting adventure story or an emotional love story, there’s sure to be something worth reading out on MyReadingManga.
And if you’re still on the fence about whether or not you should start reading manga, then let me give you some advice: just try out one title and see how you feel about it
My Favorite Manga Series
Looking back on my manga reading journey, I can confidently say that there are someseries that I absolutely adored and others that I grew to appreciate more as time went on. In this article, I’m going to share with you my favorite manga series of all time, from the series that hooked me from the beginning to the ones that have gradually grown on me over time.
First up is my all-time favorite manga series: Naruto. When it was first released in 2002, I was only nine years old, but I was instantly hooked by its engaging story and well-developed characters. The following decade saw a rise in popularity for Naruto across the world, and even now it remains one of the most popular manga series ever created.
Next up is One Piece. Released in 1997, it quickly became one of Japan’s most popular manga series and has since been translated into multiple languages worldwide. It follows the adventures of young Luffy as he searches for treasure and battles powerful pirates throughout the seas. The storyline is fast-paced and exciting, making it an ideal read for fans of action-packed stories.
Another eagerly anticipated series that made my list is Attack On Titan. Originally released in 2009, it quickly gained a large following among anime fans due to its unique style and gripping plotline. Set 100 years after a global pandemic has destroyed most of humanity, the story follows a group of young people who are forced to live in walled cities protected by huge Titans –
Conclusion
When I first started reading manga, I was a complete hater. I thought it was stupid and unrealistic that characters would always be able to do miraculous things just by wishing or thinking about them. It wasn’t until much later when I began to appreciate the artistry and depth of manga that I realized how special it is. Now, instead of dismissing manga as something for kids, I enjoy reading it just as much (if not more) than any other form of fiction. Thanks for following my journey along this strange but fascinating path!
